Sound and Light Installations

Willem Beumer worked as a DJ in the early eighties. Gramophone records were used at the time, and Willem’s technical installation was so good that fellow DJs asked if he could create the same set-up for them. And so, TTM Event Facilities was established in 1983. The business now has four full-time employees and a large, flexible workforce to support them.

TTM realises hundreds of productions per year, of which twenty can be called big productions. They vary enormously, from something as simple as a beamer and screen to large productions in the Ahoy, Amsterdam Arena or the Ziggo Dome. Willem: ‘This variation is what makes our work wonderful and exciting. Our peak season is always from King’s Day through the month of September. During the season, tens of professionals are at work for us at multiple locations.

Products & Services

Many productions take place in the region, such as the Holten Triathlon, Military Boekelo, Modespektakel Hengelo, the Zwarte Cross festival and Bouwbeurs Assen, a home improvement fair. Our services for these productions may include providing lights, sound and video for small and large events, providing catering venues and fitting up events with signage and screens. TTM has plenty of materials for these services in-house and readily available.

The company continues to grow in terms of the number of productions. More and more assignments are coming in via word of mouth. Although TTM has run productions in many unique locations, their biggest secret desire is to set up something big in their hometown of Deventer, right in the middle of the Brink…

Export ambitions

Export opportunities arise through the great work that TTM does for various national event management companies. These companies often work internationally and through them, TTM acquired the first international contracts. Willem: ‘The event management companies are often from in the western part of the country and they like to work with partners from the east. Our no-nonsense mentality is much appreciated. And when we promise that something is ready by 17:00, you can count on it.’

For example, TTM installed a giant LED screen at ‘ICE Totally Gaming’ in London, the largest fair for online betting and gaming. TTM has also fitted out various fairs in Belgium and Germany in this way.
