Be Informed
Software
Be Informed is an ICT company that builds software to automate knowledge-intensive processes. You can think of applying for a mortgage, granting permits, performing due diligence or granting loans. Our software is intelligent and can take over advisory and decision-making tasks carried out by highly skilled knowledge workers. We are talking to Rik Hoogenberg, founder and CEO. Be Informed was founded in 2006 and has 35 employees in Apeldoorn. In addition, Be Informed has offices in Washington and London.
Intelligent Robotic Process Automation
Be Informed has developed an innovative software platform for the automation of complex and knowledge-intensive processes. This is also called Intelligent Robotic Process Automation (iRPA). According to experts, iRPA puts the world at its head and leads to a true revolution in the automation of operational processes. It improves quality, increases productivity and reduces costs.
Hoogenberg explains: “The uniqueness of our software is that the complete model is driven, allowing users to implement new strategies and regulations directly. This accelerates the introduction of changes for customers from months to days.”
The company is seen internationally as a forerunner in the field of iRPA. In 2016 Be Informed won the Innovation Challenge Award from the NCI Agency of NATO. A special international appreciation. The winning proposal from Be Informed provides military units with real-time information (data) from internet nodes such as telephone calls, e-mails and social media.
Customers with knowledge-intensive processes
The software company focuses on sectors that are characterized by many regulations, complex products and services and dynamic processes. Think about government agencies that are responsible for applying appropriate laws and regulations or banks and insurers whose complex products demand ever more intelligent automated customer interaction. The more complex, the better, says Hoogenberg.
Customers are mainly in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. The company works for Procter & Gamble, the Dutch and British immigration services, the European Patent Office, major British banks and insurers, Tesco Bank and American governments. Hoogenberg: “In addition, we have partners who implement our software at customers. Often these are consultants such as Deloitte and Accenture. In this way we reach a large market and we can continue to focus on developing the software”
