Beekman B.V.

Beekman B.V. is the specialist in spare parts and accessories for household appliances. They are a one-stop supplier of parts and accessories from brands such as Miele, Bosch, Siemens, Electrolux, Whirlpool, Samsung, Indesit, LG, Philips and more. In addition, Beekman is the franchisor of the retail chains PartsNL and Europart and the shop-in-shop concept Easyfiks. 

In its state-of-the-art warehouse in Apeldoorn, Beekman has more than 16,000 products in stock and more than 10 million items are also available through direct access to manufacturers’ warehouses. The clientele consists of department stores, electrical stores, chains & formulas, computer stores, mechanics, kitchen stores and telecom stores. Family business Beekman (second generation) has around 80 employees.

Robots

What distinguishes Beekman from its competitors is the focus on IT. For example, Beekman has more than 40 robots in its modern warehouse that do the order picking for over 2,500 customers that Beekman has across Europe. Parts and accessories can be ordered easily online 24/7. Orders placed before 22:00 will be sent the same day (also on Sunday). 

During the past two years, Beekman has invested in expanding and modernizing the warehouse. The company is therefore ready for further growth. Director Jos Beekman: “We are on about 1,000 orders per day. Our robots have a maximum capacity of 20,000 daily orders, so we can easily move forward”. 

The focus is on further growth in Europe, where there are currently about 100 orders per day. The goal is to realize a substantial increase in this amount. Another goal is to enable third parties to make use of the unique logistics system. All the advantages of the system, such as speed, capacity, compactness and high reliability, will therefore be available to other companies at their fingertips. These could be both B2B as well as B2C companies.
