Forty years ago Linthorst Installatietechniek started as an installation-company with focus on sustainability. Back then, in the middle of the oil crisis, the awareness about the availability of fossil fuels being finite started, Linthors brought solutions. Now the company developed itself into a full-service installer which makes it active in all parts of the electrical engineering, such as lighting, security and fire alarms. The choice for this development came out of market demands: it is much easier for a client to outsource a complete project to one company, because this is much more efficient.

Linthorst Techniek: fast growing full-service installer

Linthorst Techniek works in utilities (construction, renovation), of which offices, recreational facilities (hotels and swimming pools) and care (nursing homes and hospitals). Innovative sustainability and complex integral knowledge-intensive projects are the company’s defining characteristics and because of that Linthorst is primarily active in the upper segments of the market in ‘design & built’ projects. Linthorst owns its own innovations center, which is continuously working on its own products’ designs. 

“We liberate almost all our clients of their gas dependency and replace it with an All Electric alternative”, according to Carlos Fischer, marketing manager of Linthorst Techniek. There are about 350 employees working on these projects, and Linthorst is active throughout the whole country. Apeldoorn is hometown for almost all employees. Together they generate a revenue of about 50 million euros per year, probably more next year thanks to the 15% to 20% growth each year.

Almost all revenue comes from within the Netherlands. Still Linthorst Techniek also owns a GMBH (BV) in Kleve. Not for nothing. In the past years, thanks to their network, the company did projects in Germany, such as construction of a hotel and sustainability projects in which the residual heat is used to heat offices. It is within expectations for foreign activity to take flight.
