Accessories for logistics premises

Rite-Hite is a world leader in the production, sale and service of loading dock equipment, industrial doors, safety barriers, large industrial ventilators and much more – all designed for the purposes of safety, security, productivity, energy efficiency and environmental management.

Rite-Hite first became known as a manufacturer of loading dock equipment. They introduced a revolutionary trailer safety solution designed to secure trailers during loading and offloading to increase loading dock safety. The patented design offers protection from various types of trailer profiles; it soon became the industry standard. Today, it is a favoured option for most facilities worldwide. The assortment has expanded with industrial electric doors, cooler and freezer doors, impact doors, dock shelters, and walkway and workstation barriers.

Rite-Hite was established by the American White family in 1965, and the third generation is now fully active in the family business. Since 1996, the company has a location in Twello. Wim Zwikker has been with Rite-Hite for eight years, five years as the managing director for the Benelux and the UK. The production takes place in the United States, Germany, China and Poland.

The company’s growth took place by following the movements of its new and existing customers; in other words, through a customer focus. This growth was mainly organic, but there have been several acquisitions as well.

Wim Zwikker is proud of how his people grow and flourish within the concern; employees are given plenty of opportunities to do so.

Twello covers the Benelux sales with a team of sales representatives, on-site engineers, subcontractors and many permanent partners. 20 employees operate in Twello, but the company has 2,500 employees, and all company personnel are trained in the United States.

The White family wants to develop solution-oriented products for specific applications in the logistics sector. The company’s strength is that they operate locally but think globally.

The market trend shows that customers have become more critical. Today, a lot of expertise is required to provide quality solutions. The company has also consciously chosen to work with products with a long lifespan to improve sustainability. Unfortunately, safety continues to be a cost item for many clients. Ergonomics and safety combined with increased automation levels will become increasingly critical in distribution centres in the years to come.
